DEWALT Announces Repair Program for Select DEWALT Nailers.
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, DEWALT Industrial Tool Company is conducting a repair program for DEWALT Model D51844 and D51845 Heavy-Duty 20 Degree Full Round Head Framing Nailer and DEWALT D51822 Heavy-Duty 31 Degree Full Round Head Framing Nailer.
The contact trip on some of the nailers may not operate properly, which may permit a nail to be ejected with only trigger actuation.

DEWALT Announces New Blade Changing Instructions For Select Miter Saws
The instructions pertain to the following models with date codes up to 200525.
Models: 3660, 3680, DW703, DW704, DW705, DW705-220, DW705S, DW706 and DW712 Miter Saws.
The blade changing instructions have been revised to stress the importance of properly positioning and securing the pivot plate on the above miter saws. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, DEWALT Industrial Tool Co. is announcing a recall of its DW368 and DW369 7-1/4" Circular Saws (date code 200128-F through 200152-F). Under certain circumstances, it may be possible for the spindle on the saw to slip, causing the blade to contact with the lower guard, creating a possible risk of personal injury to consumers.

CPSC, Power Tool Manufacturers Announce Recall of Electric Drills
WASHINGTON, D.C. – In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp., of Brookfield, Wis., and DEWALT Industrial Tool Co., of Baltimore, Md., are recalling about 58,000 electric drills. The switches on these power tools, which were manufactured by Eaton Corp., of Milwaukee, Wis., can stick. The drills can continue to operate after the trigger is released, posing a risk of injury to consumers.
Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. has received four reports of drill switches sticking in the on position and one report of a hand injury. DEWALT has received three reports of drill switches sticking in the on position but no reported injuries.
The affected drills have switches that are being recalled by the switch manufacturer Eaton Corp., of Cleveland Ohio, and were sold under the brand names, Milwaukee Electric Tool ½" drills and DEWALT ½" Stud & Joist Drills. The following chart lists the ½" drills included in this recall

DEWALT Industrial Tool Co., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is announcing a recall to repair certain DW9095 18 volt battery packs sold between May 1997 and June 1998. The clips holding the battery packs may fail to engage fully with the battery operated tool, permitting the battery pack to fall from the tool, which may present the risk of personal injury. WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), DEWALT® Industrial Tool Co., of Baltimore, MD, is voluntarily recalling about 825,000 battery chargers (model DW9116) for repair. These chargers are for 9.6- to 18-volt batteries used with DEWALT cordless tools. Metal clips inside the chargers could come loose and stick through the chargers’ vents, possibly resulting in consumers receiving an electrical shock.
DEWALT has not received any reports of injuries with these chargers. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries.
The battery chargers are model number DW9116, which is written on the front and bottom of the charger housing. The chargers are black with yellow lettering. DEWALT is written on the front of the chargers. The recalled chargers have date codes from 9927EM through 9952EM and 0001EM through 0031EM located on the bottom of the charger. Chargers with a yellow or green dot sticker near the date code already have been repaired, and are not recalled
Home center and hardware stores sold these battery chargers nationwide from September 1999 through August 2000 for between $49 and $69. During the same period, chargers also were sold with some DEWALT cordless tools

DEWALT announce recall to repair electric screwdriversWASHINGTON, DC (November 5, 1998) - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), DEWALT Industrial Tool Co., of Hampstead, Md., is recalling to repair about 660,000 corded electric screwdrivers. The screwdrivers' wiring design can result in the user being shocked.
DEWALT has received reports of 40 screwdrivers causing shocks during use. There have been three reports of injuries resulting from these shocks.
The screwdrivers were sold under the DEWALT, GRABBER, and Black & Decker Industry & Construction brandnames. The DEWALT model numbers are DW251, DW252, DW257, DW260K, DW265, DW266, DW267, DW268, DW268G, DW269, DW272, DW274, DW274-220, DW274W, DW275QD (Quik Drive), DW276, DW281, DW282, and DW284. The GRABBER model numbers are 4060 and 4063. The Black & Decker model numbers are 2121, 2125, 2141. Only numeric date codes from 9601 to 9833 are included in this recall. The date code is followed by various letters. Those date codes ending with an "R" have already been repaired. The model number and date code are located on the name plate which is on the right hand side of the screwdriver when viewed from the back.
The DEWALT and Quik Drive corded screwdrivers have a yellow housing with black accents, the GRABBER models have a black housing, the Black & Decker Industry & Construction have charcoal-gray housing.
Major chain home centers and hardware stores, as well as local hardware stores, nationwide sold these screwdrivers from November 1996 through September 1998 for about $69 to $169, depending on the model. Consumers should stop using these screwdrivers immediately and take them to the nearest DEWALT/Black & Decker service center for a free repair. WASHINGTON, D.C.– In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), DEWALT® Industrial Tool Co., of Baltimore, Md., is voluntarily recalling about 112,000 12-inch miter saws (Models DW704 TY1, DW705 TY1), which make angled cuts. Bolts on the saws can loosen and the blade could detach, posing a risk of lacerations to consumers.
DEWALT has received seven reports of consumers with lacerations when the blades on these saws detached.
The recall involves only 12-inch DEWALT miter saws with model numbers DW704 TY1 and DW705 TY1. The model numbers are located on the nameplate on the top of the saw’s housing. The saws are yellow with black accents. The recalled miter saws have date codes from 9201 through 9340. The date code is stamped into the end cap or back of the saws.
Home centers and hardware stores sold these miter saws nationwide from January 1992 through December 1993 for between $330 and $410.
Consumers should stop using these saws immediately, and call DEWALT to receive a free replacement bolt to repair the saw. DEWALT has received two reports of batteries bursting and consumers suffering injuries, including minor lacerations and a minor burn.
The DEWALT battery chargers have model numbers DW9107 and DW9108, which is written on the front of the charger. The recalled DEWALT chargers have date codes from 9616 through 9752 located on the bottom of the charger. The DEWALT chargers are black with yellow lettering. "DEWALT" is written on the front of the chargers.
The Black & Decker Industry & Construction battery chargers have model numbers 97015 and 97016. The model number is written on the front of the chargers. They have date codes from 9616 through 9752, which is located on the bottom of the chargers. The Black & Decker Industry & Construction chargers are black. "Black & Decker Industry and Construction" is written on the front of these chargers.
Home center and hardware stores sold these battery chargers nationwide from May 1996 through August 2000 for between $50 and $60. During the same time, these chargers also were sold with some DEWALT® and Black & Decker Industry & Construction cordless tools.
Consumers should stop using these battery chargers immediately, and take them to a DEWALT or Black & Decker service center for a free replacement.
