DEWALT designed its first oil-lubricated, wheeled compressor to provide end users with increased durability, ease-of-use, and performance. Ideal for at least a four-person finish woodworking crew, carpenters can use the D55154 to complete production interior and exterior trim applications, as well as light framing and roofing applications.
Durability - The heavy-duty reinforced frame of the D55154 allows the compressor to withstand the harshest jobsite conditions. DEWALT designed the full-protection roll cage frame to prevent accidental damage to the pump and motor. The couplers and gauges are well guarded by the tank assembly, protecting these important components from routine wear and tear. In addition, the D55154 was built with a rugged 3/4” foot, which is less susceptible to being broken and knocked off the unit, compared to other compressors on the market.
Ease of Use/Mobility - DEWALT designed the D55154 to meet end users needs and provide mobility on the jobsite. Measuring just 18 1/2” wide and 29” high, with a 2.5” frame clearance and 10” solid-axle, fully pneumatic tires, the compressor can be easily transported on jobsite terrain. The D55154 features an ergonomic telescoping handle and also includes a transport platform, or dolly, on top of the deck, allowing users to tie down additional equipment to the top of the compressor and easily move it to various locations. For increased efficiency, the oil pump has been rotated 90 degrees, providing easy access to check and change the oil, as well as a ball drain valve for quick and thorough tank draining.
Performance - For high surge performance, the D55154 produces 4.0 SCFM at 90 PSI, 125 PSI Max. DEWALT designed the compressor with a 1.1 (running) HP induction motor for long-life operation. The motor is also equipped with a High-FloSM locking air regulator that delivers maximum air pressure, increasing productivity on the jobsite. The oil-lubricated, cast iron cylinder pump in the D55154 ensures reliable, long-lasting performance.
