3M Particulate Respirator 10/Bag 8511, N95

Respirator 8211 and 8511 are the same except that 8211 has the faceseal and the 8511 does not.


Uniquely designed to help provide comfortable reliable worker protection. It is ideally suited for work settings that involve heat, humidity, or long periods of wear.
Workplace applications include grinding, sanding, sweeping, bagging and other dusty operations. It features the 3M™ Cool Flow™ Exhalation Valve, adjustable M-nose clip, comfortable faceseal and durable braided headband to help provide a custom fit and secure seal.

You Must Wear the Respirator Correctly!
You will not be protected if you don't wear your respirator correctly. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. For dust masks (also called filtering facepieces or "N95" respirators) and other half facepiece respirators this means:

• The respirator is properly positioned over your nose and mouth at all times
• The top strap or head harness assembly is positioned high on the back of the head
• The lower strap is worn at the back of the neck below the ears
• Nothing (beards, head coverings, etc.) passes between the skin of the face and the respirator's sealing edge.
• Do not take the respirator away from you nose or mouth until you reach clean air!
• The nose and mouth must be covered at all times.
• Both straps must be positioned correctly

Changing the Respirator, Filters, Cartridges
If you are using either a dust mask (also called a filtering facepiece or "N95" respirator) or a rubber or plastic facepiece respirator with replaceable particulate filters (e.g. N95, P100) then:

• Replace the dust mask or change the particulate filters when you notice
• Increased breathing resistance
• Physical damage to any part of the facepiece or filters
• The inside of the dust mask becomes unsanitary
• Time use limitations on the package require replacement
